Workshop:

The Dissociative Table & the Art of Working with Parts of the Personality

Kathleen Martin, LCSW

March 16, 2018 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Stamford, CT

Description

Treating complex trauma requires skills to treat the dissociation prior to entering the trauma reprocessing phase. Too many clinicians enter the reprocessing phase without sufficiently working with parts of the personality to reduce the dissociative process. This workshop will teach the 8 step Fraser's Dissociative Table Technique and how to integrate it into the treatment of complex trauma. The art of working with parts once the table is established will be demonstrated along with special attention to working with protector and self-persecutory parts.

Please note: Structural Dissociation theory and language will be used throughout this workshop. It is highly recommended that participants who are not well grounded in this theory read articles about this theory prior to this workshop. This reading list and articles will be sent to you upon your completed registration.

.
